<p>Vampire The Masquerade V5 the tabletop role playing game is coming this month. I’m still thinking whether I should buy it. I’ve only played the PC game Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines. Its universe, called the World of Darkness (WOD), is so intriguing! </p><p>In the game, there are vampire clans, each clan possessing unique attributes and powers, Malkavian, Ventrue, Tremere, Toreador... </p><p>[[1]] </p><p>I’ve been thinking, what if Underworld and the WOD collide? Which clan would Selene belong to? Brujah? </p><p>Viktor might be Ventrue. Ventrue is a royal and regal clan, and Viktor is a powerful and cunning vampire lord. He definitely has the vibe of a monarch. </p><p>Markus? I’m thinking of Gangrel, animalistic shapeshifters, ferocious, independent. </p><p>Amelia? Definitely Toreador! She’s so mesmerising! </p>

<p>Director and producer, Len Wiseman has already proclaimed that the sixth film is being made. Back in January of 2016, he was also caught stating the chances of a television series happening: "Yes, there’s been a lot of conversations and even development on what that series would be. It’s really appropriate for television, in terms of how those characters can really tie in, but also become something new. It’s really an attractive space. I don’t want to put a date on it because then that’s going to be printed and it might not happen in that timeframe, but it is a thought.” </p><p>Beckinsale is said to return to her popular role for <i>Underworld 6 </i>and<i> </i>though that's great news for fans, this will be her last in the franchise after 12 years </p>

<p style="font-weight:normal;">Greetings, beloved Underwold fandoms. I have a story that I'd like to share, if you all wouldn't mind. I really hope some feedbacks can fix this to make it better though.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Just so you all know, I'm not undermining Selene's character. I'm also not a writer and my English is quite limited. I'm just releasing some headache from this imaginations here, so please forgive me if you all think this is so messed up.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Anyway, this story began a few weeks after Underworld: Blood Wars. Selene received new information in the Nordic Coven that Michael is still alive somewhere in America. This prompted her to begin a search for him and she insisted on going alone, leaving David and Lena to take charge of the coven. Her search eventually lead her to a city (which I still don't know where) and she reunited with an aged Detective Sebastian, from Underworld: Awakening. They both have been keeping in touch to date and Detective Sebastian now running his own investigation on Lycans & Vampires. According to his investigations, there are some remnants of Antigen facilities hiding in plain sight, which includes the possibility of running some sort of secret experiment, much like from Awakening. This clearly made Selene to deduce that <span style="font-weight:normal;">Marius actually was connected to this remnants, and </span>Michael's captive was their plan to re-continue the experimentations. Detective Sebastian identified there were 3 facilities within the city and some of the people running them (or Lycans...).</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Selene began her own investigations and definitely out for some blood. During the search, Selene encountered some of "the worst of humanity", namely any crimes, murders and even some victims crying for help to her before being wasted away and she never paid any attention to those "petty things". This situation was very much like "the Mutants" from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, if you all familliar with that hopefully. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">One of the looters began attacking Selene, and he displayed a tattoo, like the one she saw in one of Detective Sebastian's investigation photos. Turns out he was working for the remnants, and after some "interrogation involving bloods & guts", the guy spilled the beans. The Antigen remnants actually working on some kind of "performane-enhancing drugs" based on their experimental research and they advertise these drugs to some low-life street gangs and suchs. He even told her about Michael's whereabouts, that he might be held captive in one of them though he cannot confirm which one. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Before finishing him off, he also warned Selene about a mysterious "leader", one that actually striked more fear towards him than Selene ever did. He mentioned that Michael was at his mercy, not unlike the previous one with Marius and the "performance-enhancing drug" ideas actually came from him. Getting angrier and asking him for physical description, he simply said "some guy in nice suit and very much nothing like he seems to be". This made Selene change her tactics and use the guy as decoy so that she can infiltrate one of the fascilities and possibly attracting this so-called "leader". In Selene's mind, this was kinda like "killing 2 birds with one stone". </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">And thus, began all the shootout, gory stuffs, one-sided curbed stomped battle in one facility with casualties including the looter and all of the super-drug users. Selene didn't find Michael, but she finally got the "leader's" attraction. From her eyes, he is well-dressed and really much not like what he seems to be, "at least in terms of his wardrobe choice". They met on the rooftop and battle ensues. First with gunfights, evenly matching each other's skills until they ran out of ammo. Then onto fistfight, clearly outmatching the leader's physical skills, mocking him so much and finally maimed him to near death. Selene interrogated him too about Michael's location, eventually giving up the location and she confirmed it true using her Blood Sorting abilities on him, then threw him off the rooftop, followed by blowing up the facility. Deep down, she felt this as no more than just "walking in the park" and it actually amused her for the first time. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Selene moved on to the location, with some leftover weapons, ammos & bombs she kept in the rental car she'd been using now. On the way, she contacted Detective Sebastian informing him that things on this city were actually much worse than what he investigated about while questioning his sources as in, she kept thinking "This didn't make any sense at all". How can he missed all the obvious violence, especially one involving Antigen mass-produced super-drugs? Worst of all, why would I even care about all this shit?".  Then she began to wonder whether what's been happening was actually true or some sort of an elaborate scheme to play with her before ending the call with a deadly warning to him.  </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Arriving on the facility, her doubts were cleared, as in that the place was actually run by the Antigen remnants and most of them in it are actually Lycans. Another shootout ensues, with Selene eliminating the all, not even the "pleading-to-let-go-and-cowering-in-fear" humans inside. Sensing Michael's scent, she followed it down to the basement only to find out his body and severed head. She broke down immediately while cursing, crying in full rage and despair. Then, light's out. All areas covered in total darkness, followed by an echo of evil, maniacal laughter and some blurry "movement flashes". She wasted all her ammos, even all explosives before. All that's left was just a combat knife.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;"><span style="font-weight:normal;">"I've studied you, Selene....". </span>She very much recognized this scent, the voice and even the taste of his blood. It's the well-dressed guy. Such a spacious basement, the echos made it more difficult to track his position. <span style="font-weight:normal;">Even with her near-clarity vision in total darkness. </span></p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Who you love....who you trust....your fighting style.......your weak spot!!" She spotted his position and threw the combat knife with superior speed & reflexes. Nothing more than just sound of shattered mirror. Now completely stripped of all weapons, it took her a moment to realize that she's inside a room full of mirrors within the basement. Sudden rush of fear now displacing her rage & despair.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"What the hell are you?!! You're not human!! I watched you died!!" She screamed with her trembling voice.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Maniacal laughter echoes from all angles of her super hearing range. Mirrors by mirrors she kept shattered upon his reflection with her super speed yet she came no closer to physically grab him at all.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Look at you....No hesitation to torture & kill anyone....Just to find your precious DEAD LOVER!!"       </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Then, a simultaneous solid blow to her head and <span style="font-weight:normal;">ribcage with </span>a sharp nerve strike on her neck, followed by a twisted knee & ankle to throw her off balance. Within seconds, her body lies on the floor with a foot stomping her ribcage 1 time, puncturing her lungs deep. While lying on the floor, she is then strangled hard, coupled with a series of rapid punches to the back of her head with full force rivalling her own strongest punch. She delivered a fast lying scissors kick to him, and he catched it one hand while simutanously punched her full force to her face. Then he backed up, and delivered a solid kick to her head like a soccer ball <span style="font-weight:normal;">while his 1 hand holding her leg</span><span style="font-weight:normal;"> .</span> Her leg didn't rip itself apart from her body, and her body flips forward and landed onto her chest. Still grabbing her leg tightly, he stomped on her other leg's knee while twisting her ankle again and land on her back with rapid elbow attacks 1 hand and other 1 hand strangling her neck spine to crush it. Once all her rib cage were broken and puntured her lungs deep from her back side, he lift her with still his strangling hand and punch her hard enough that her spine completely shattered inside her body and sent her flying away onto a concrete wall. Selene's whole body now practically fused to the wall. Even that, the well-dressed guy wasted no time, step forward towards her in full speed, grabbing her neck tighter again while relentlessly punching her mid rib much harder that the concrete wall finally collapsed onto her body. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">He punched through the collapsed wall, with his hand feeling her internal organs and at that moment Selene grabbed his neck trying to break it. That same moment his other hand twisted her wrist, weakening her grip and he headbutted her forarm, shattering it. Selene's strangling arm is completely damaged now. He punched the remaining concrete wall onto her face rapidly until there were splashes of red meat. Her face now is deformed and he finished the fight by strangling her again and harder until she gradually lost conciousness. He grabbed her body and injected her with a powerful sedative to keep her unconcious long enough until he reached his own safe house nearby. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Within a matter of hours, Selene finally regained conciousness with a straightjacket pinned on her in a medical room and ripped it off after a few tries & went out berserk but not before a voice stopped her while also grabbing her hand. She turned back, and very much to her surprise:</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Michael?!! You're alive?!! How is it you're still alive? I saw your severed head. I was so sure it was your scent!"</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Michael apologised repeatedly and hugged her so tight that a cracking sound was made. They kissed so passionately as it's been so long since he was gone. He stopped and explained things such as the Antigen remnants with their super-drugs, massive looters, and even the time he was tortured but before he can finish.....</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Huh....Finally 2 lovebirds got together like they're about to die yet again"</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">It's the well-dressed guy speaking with such deadpan tone, and Detective Sebastian joined in moments later.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Selene almost went mad on him and Michael had to control her from fighting him again. Eventually she came to her senses but remained feeling dreadful towards him.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Michael, well played in being dead bro. Detective, bravo in bringing back Selene here. Knew I could count on 'ya!!"</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Damn it, JD. You promised me you were go easy on her. Resetting back all her bones are fucking hard when her flesh kept regenerating every damn time I cut her open!!" Michael uttered displeasedly.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Look, I know that I owe you my life. You saved me after Antigen collapsed and from Marius and his kind. But I think what you did to her was too vicious for someone in your position." </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"I'm sorry, Michael. But that was my mission; to bring her here alive in in any condition by any means necessary. I gotta tell ya, she's got some guts trying to kill me. Remind me not to mess with her anyway, coz' I'm afraid I'm gonna tear her apart with my bare hands again, literally." </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Cue awkward silence from all people. Even Selene gulped to hear that such a soothing yet frightening monotone. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Well, as much as I'm gonna enjoy threatening ya' both hybrids, we ain't got much time for that. Right now, we've got other work to do. Vampire, Lycans, they are not as worse as humanity itself." JD sternly reminds.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">JD explained that the Antigen remnants is nothing more than an organized crime with steroids. Very much not unlike the eternal war between Lycans & Vampires. The real threat is much more sinister and a lot more subtle and surgical. <span style="font-weight:normal;"> The same threat also was the thing that made JD into the man he is today, the ultimate weapon for humanity. </span><span style="font-weight:normal;">After hearing the kind of threat JD has been dealing with his entire life, Selene's entire existence felt like nothing more that just like a puppet being controlled by a puppet-master. JD also assured that S</span>elene's knowledge is vital in weakening that threat and also her ruthlessness in hunting down her "prey", which is the reason he really needs her to be a part of this team. In JD's mind, even with his current condescending attitude towards her, there really is no denying that later he need to earn Selene's trust to make this fight more efficient and with prudent end results.</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;"><span style="font-weight:normal;">Selene now has a lot on her mind</span><span style="font-weight:normal;"> </span><span style="font-weight:normal;">about this man and the life he had been leading.</span><span style="font-weight:normal;"> "</span><span style="font-weight:normal;">What is he physically? What really drives him? How can he be this ruthless killing machine while also retaining his humanity?" B</span><span style="font-weight:normal;">ut one thing for sure, this is the man that really had her at psychological advantage and physically destroyed her in fistfight. More than Viktor ever did to her years ago. And yet this is the man who had a much darker and more painful past than she ever had and yet he holds it back together just barely enough to keep him from being broken even with his lifespan far extends that of normal humans'. Truly, this man is really much more than he seemingly to be.  </span></p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"Selene, I know there would not be such easy way to earn your trust after all that happened. It's fine by me. But you really need need to trust the mission and be more alert with how the world works now. It's more than just your petty wars between vampires, Lycans and all that shit. Michael would understand it better coz' he was human not long before. You on the other hand, spent 6 centuries being a killer, so your humanity was gone up in smoke. But, that doesn't matter anymore now to me. It doesn't matter who you were or what you did before. Take your time to think thoroughly about it. If you don't wanna join the fight, stay here and I'll work out some way to send you back to you current coven with Michael. But if you made your mind that this life is more than just about you in this fight, I'll be more than willing to accept you as a comrade."</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">That long speech converted any hostile thoughts Selene had towards JD into something unexpectedly thoughtful and impactful for her. </p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">"If you made your decision, I'm just a phone call away. Now if you'll excuse me, Detective Sebastian and I got to stop an arms dealer. Like I told 'ya, humanity is much worse to deal with than your kind"</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">They both left to do their job, with both Micheal & Selene stay in the safehouse discussiong over the fact wheter they should take up his offer to run off or join him. What would that decision be?</p> <p style="font-weight:normal;">Anyway, that's about it for the time being. What do you all think?</p>

<p>What are your favorite vampire films? I'm looking for recommendations. </p><p>Not sure what's my favorite. Maybe <i>Interview with the Vampire</i>. I also enjoyed <i>Let the Right One In</i>. </p>

<p>What do you think about Mockbusters? I think they destroys and mislead people. </p><p>A “mockbuster” is a movie intentionally made to seem so similar to the real movie. </p>

<p>The future terrifies me. Everytime, I make any choice in life, I am worried about the future which is far away but at the same is closer then. I would choose to realize. Does anyone feel as I am? </p>
